Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

I have found two large bags of mixed nuts (cashews, walnuts, hazelnuts and almonds) in the back of my cupboard that I bought at Christmas to make Nigellas spiced nut recipe but "Ooops, word censored!"ody liked it when I made it . As much as I'd like to just eat them I know I will get terrible indigestion, so I wondered if anyone had a recipe for a breakfast bar or biscuits that would use them up.

I have a nice recipe for a baked muesli/granola which I have posted on Page 47 of the What Have You Cooked Today thread. Your mixed nuts would be good in that.

There is an oatie cookies recipe on here somewhere. If you chopped them up you could chuck in a handful of them

How about a fruit and nut cake (or should that be a nut and fruit cake!) If you have the time (and inclination!) you could roast/honey/salt them and put them into jars for later or as gifts? I have seen recipes for nut brittle but don't have any as I have several crowns and wouldn't want to risk it!

Could you roughly chop them up and add them to muesli?

Thank you for your suggestions, I have found the recipes for oatie cookies and decided to have a go at those which I think will have the least indigestion issues, although I might pick all the cashews out the mix to eat and hope for the best as I absolutely love cashews .
