I know its the wrong time of year but I'm trying to do a Dissertation on red mite but am really struggling to find a course I have left traps in local poultry farms but no luck, they were all clean Would be really greatful if anyone could contact me if they have or think they have mites in their coop and the moment Thanks! freddie Posted March 18, 2013 Share Posted March 18, 2013 No, and I don't want them, either!! Spent last year on a Mission to get rid of them.. So far, so good!! Try any enriched cage battery hen farmer, they are really struggling, as the mite are under the poo layer on the artificial grass in the pens, and the farmers can't get rid of them. There tend to be some quite ramshackle chicken houses on the ones round our way, that look like they would be housing more red mite than chicken...!
