redbug
Just wondering if anyone is going to this weekend and if it is worth attending the shows?
Plum
I went last year and it's definitely worth it. Have fun and tell us what you buy
bigmommasally
I love the shows, I've not been to this one though. You get to try out the sewing machines, and quilting machines, talk to the experts, there are always lovely quilts on display on the stalls to look at and of course you get to drool over all the lovely fabrics. Hold on tight to your purse strings as it is very easy to get carried away. Have a super day.
Charlottechicken
I went to one a few years ago (used my Tesco clubcard points to get the tickets) and absolutely loved it! I don't actually craft so if you do you will be in a different world! So much stuff, and the prices were very reasonable too. I watched someone using a spinning wheel to make plastic bags into workable twine and ladies with purple hair and long stripy socks were felting. The halls were packed to the rafters with all bits and bobs needed for every imaginable craft or hobby. Finished articles were for sale too, again at very reasonable prices. There were also displays of the most breathtakingly amazing work from specialist colleges. Hope you decide to go, if you don't buy anything I'll eat my hat! redbug
Sound like you can spend lots but I will just take some cash to get some goodies so as long as the snow holds off think I will be going on Saturday
redbug
I went to show while I was waiting in the Que. to get my ticket a lovely lady came over to me and gave me a complimentary ticket that she was not going to use how nice was that. I spent a long time looking at sewing machines some real beauties at the show ones that embodied by themselves - cost £3000 (when I win lottery) Well I got a Husqvarna Opal - got a good discount on the display model and a huge patchwork table free and 1/4" foot. It was new at start of show. now - just have to wait for delivery. Will be the owner of sewing machine Bought pack of cottons some fabric and sewing bits. Lots of great crafts at the show Now waiting to go to a quilt show.
