Forestchook
I'm curious, what do omleteers think of contactless card technology. I'm guessing (hoping) they have improved security since they were first brought out I have my doubts. Any thoughts? N
Janepie33
I've only managed to use my contactless card twice - once in M&S and once in Cafe Nero. Quite liked the idea I didn't have to put in my pin, but slightly anxious that I might accidentally brush against a machine and buy lots of goods I hadn't intended to buy! charly1979
After seeing the reports where people were getting details from peoples cards when they were in handbags I steer well clear think I have one but wouldnt know how to use it ??? I would like to think that they have improved security but with everything I assume as soon as they do a new loop hole is found
Forestchook
Quite liked the idea I didn't have to put in my pin That's one bit I did not like the sound of. Or rather I didn't like the idea that if someone did manage to get hold of my card they could use it without putting the pin in (albeit only for £20 at a time). After seeing the reports where people were getting details from peoples cards when they were in handbags ... That concerned me too. Although the articles I found were around a year old, I have not come across any info that indicates they have fixed this problem. Since I am quite happy using cash for small purchases, and have no interest in making 'contactless' payments the card has more cons than pros from my point of view.
