My bantam Araucana hatched out of a batch of LF Maran eggs She does have white ear lobes though, you are supposed to be able to tell the colour of the shell by the colour of the hen's earlobes. They did ask what I wanted to do, but of course I didn't want to return her. I can see this will lead to me getting another blue egg laying hen or two later in the year... The outcome was that they have offered me some kind of 'deal' on future purchases, but not specified what that would be. Perhaps I shouldn't have said so quickly that I didn't want to return her! She's truly fabulous and laying a very classy creamy-beige egg most days If you were considering them you might mention my experience (happy to give you my name etc in a PM) and get a hen that's already laid a ! She's less grubby now! and has a darker comb (she wasn't laying at this point) I'll try and get a new pic of her tomorrow New Pics of Poppy She's not terribly keen on having her picture taken - a waste of good running around squawking madly time!
