Chicken boarders

Hi everyone I'm new to the forum

 

Just needed some advice or ideas in why my Maran Cuirvee (Flo) has stopped laying she about 18months old and up until a few weeks ago when my lovely barred rock (Betty) died was laying everyday lovely mahogany coloured eggs but has now stopped laying all of the others did for a few days maybe a week but have since started again

 

She seems fine with eating and drinking just been dusted and wormed so I can't think of any other reason to why or has she just laid out she seems a bit young for that but I don't know

 

Any advice gratefully received

Do you know why Betty died? Just thinking that maybe if she was ill with something, the others could have also had it - illness can stop them from laying, even if they don't look ill otherwise.

No unfortunately I don't know one day she just stopped eating and drinking and just stood there with her eyes shut gulping for air then the next day it got worse and then I found her dead in the nesting box I did speak to a vet about the symptoms and they thought it could have been some kind of heart problem but without doing an autopsy they were sure but they thought it wasn't contagious and every other one of my hens carried on laying fine apart from (Flo) the Maran but since posting the question she has layed 1 egg

 

Have you ever had any experience of them symptoms?
