gavclojak
Good morning please help. i have had my 5 ex batts for three weeks now and egg production has been good, we get on average 3-5 eggs a day....well that was until yesterday when we had just one egg and when i cleaned then out this morning there was a soft shelled egg in the tray under the roosting bars, so that must have been laid during the night or late yesterday evening. They all seem very happy, eating, drinking, ect and with normal red comb's....should i be worried? Thanks
The Dogmother
I wouldn't worry, they may still be unsettled and ex-batts are also more likely to have egg tackle blips as their system has been taxed by enforced laying. Just make sure that you worm them with Flubenvet every quarter, and add some cod liver oil and ground eggshells to their feed and they will do as well as they can.
