Chicken boarders

Just heard a snippet on radio 4 'You and Yours' about intelligence amonst chickens. I loved the bit about the chickens that learnt to use the cat flap when the cat didn't I feel sure I also recognised the names Kiev and Nugget - I seem to remember that someone on Omlet owns this super bright duo

 

As for my chickens - though they don't relate to me the way my dogs do, I certainly would not consider them to be dim. Each one knows her own name and though as greedy as can be they know that when meal worms are bein given out, I won't tollerate bullying and each will get their fair share

 

Ooo - Just heard this chicken philosophy and loved it

If it is smaller than you and it moves you can eat it

If it is smaller than you and it does not move you can probably eat it

If it is bigger than you and moves it is bringing you food
