Solitary chicken - need advice

   Hi my coop is in my yard and the yard is on a slight tilt so when its rained last night even though my coop is at the top of the yard in the run area its a bit damp as the rain has obviously travelled. Is this a problem for my girls? Obviously in the coop itself is warm and dry but I dont like the idea of them having cold wet feet!

Do you have room to put something in there they could perch on like an upturned flower pot or poke a branch/plank through bars? Probably be okay for short periods though.

Thanks for the advice ill give it a try with some branches just wish I could think of a way to stop it getting wet!

What about lawn edging or log rolls around the run to create a barrier? I use these to stop aubiose leaking out, but they may help stop rainwater leaking in to such an extent.
