gavclojak
another question about the heat? has anybody notices a drop in egg production in this heat, my 5 girls usually lay between 3-5 a day and 2 days ago had 2 soft shelled eggs and since then only 2 eggs! also!!!! they are not pooing that much of a night, when i check the trays in the morning they don't seem to have done that much over the last 2 nights, they all seem fine in themselves eating/ drinking etc and a few big massive morning poo's so should i worry or not? Thanks again guys in advance for your constant source of information
Patricia W
Yes, it's normal to have a drop in egg production in heat from my experience.

coco
We have had definite drop in egg production. I am getting about 5 eggs a day from my big girls as opposed to 15. That and broody hens hogging the nest box.
