coco
I had Faye pts this evening with suspected mareks, she had been unableto walk for about a week but when I took her to the vet on Mon he thought that she had a leg injury and advised to rest her. Unfortunately she went downhill and today stopped eating and had no use of her legs at all. We think it was bought on by the hot weather. A friend had Fayes sister and she died of mareks a few months ago. Just hope the other girls are ok.

mimi5
Ah sorry to hear this Marek's can be a silent, slower stalker My advice (and what I did after Monty was PTS with suspected Marek's after a heavy 1st moult) clean the coop throughly. Marek's is shed in feather dander. 8 months on and all seem ok....although Molly is moulting heavily and sitting alot I am watching my girls though!
