Minnie&Moose
I'm looking for a robust, but not too pricey, pasta maker. My 13yr old is developing a taste for cooking all things Italian and in the spirit of encouraging him to contribute to household cooking, as part of the domestication process before releasing him into the wider world, I've agreed to let him try his hand at making his own pasta. I will probably regret this decision (the mess in the kitchen and the fact we're about to hit our annual egg drought) but ... Any suggestions please for something simple enough for a boy who hates taking the time to read instructions (following in his father's footsteps ) and robust enough to survive his enthusiastic and energetic approach to all things mechanical
Purplemaniacs
My DS started to make pasta as a teenager and enjoyed it. He still enjoys making pasta, even though he no longer lives at home. I have this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Imperia-Italian-Double-Cutter-Machine/dp/B0001IXA0I/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1377793256&sr=1-1&keywords=pasta+maker It stood up to DS using it, I think he now has one the same make, or very similar. Mrs Webmuppet
We have the Lakeland pasta machine. Easy enough for LMW aged 13 to use.
