jackian
They will be fine .. They seriously don't get affected by them. You have to remember they are all tucked up snug and asleep by the time it is dark.
gavclojak
That's reassuring, I went on a chicken keeping course before getting my ladies and they told me they lost a few girls the year before from shock and I should consider taking them in during the firework period, I really didn't want to start doing that as to not upset their routine. I am glad paulad asked the question because it was something I considered asking

gavclojak
Oh bless you, let us know how they are, can feel a big box in the spare room coming in for November I hope I won't have to resort to that! Olly
It's never seemed to bother my hens, nor put them off laying. Once they're tucked up in the dark I don't think anything bothers them much.

Purplemaniacs
Glad they are all ok. As Olly said I don't think much disturbs them once they are tucked up for the night. Chrissie

Tigiga
Glad your girls are OK. They are tough things aren't they? Mine were out for a little wander this morning my cat was watching from under a bush- she suddenly ran towards them, not one of the five young hens batted an eyelid or even lifted their head from pecking at the grass- cat however seemed alarmed and ran back under the bush and resumed watching!
