jacquiefrost
Well I took back my speckled sussex Skittle to the breeder today. Yep definitely a boy, he is now strutting around a pen with a harem! The breeder kindly offered a replacement but i didn't want to upset the other 2 girls (and myself) by trying introductions when i'm so new to chicken keeping. I replace poor skittle with a sack of mash and a sack of corn He says he may keep Skittle to use for breeding, i really hope so. He is a lovely looking boy in my opinion. Daphne
I saw him on the other thread, and its sad you couldn't keep him If you find yourself with more Sussex in the future, the comb and wattles were the biggest giveaway to me along with his size and the start of swoopy tail feathers. I thought he was rather a handsome chap and its great your breeder has taken him back Your other 2 will be absolutely fine though, no worries about keeping them as 2 hens together
