Chicken bald back

Has anyone else tried this? If so, what did you think? I bought some yesterday and used it after doing the monthly mega clean out. It's lovely and soft and smells lovely too! However, I don't think it will prove very hard wearing so the bag probably won't last long

I really like chopped straw. I use it I'm my WIR sometimes! and it does last. This has the added benefit of added pine oil, brilliant and you can buy it from BHWT

I had steered away from straw as I had been advised it could harbour red mite as well as other fungal diseases.Is it just the coop you don't put it in?Is it therefore ok in WI? this chicken keeping is confusing at times Thank goodness there are so many wise keepers out there willing to share their experience with novices.

Yes it's just the coop. It's fine in the run
