Alis girls
Fed up already. All my best laid plans gone awry. Was planning to Christmas shop last week but son ill so doing tomorrow with reluctant OH in tow. "Why are we going to Brent X ?" he says - " give u a clue - first word begins with C and 2nd S" Then I find some Christmas decs have gone AWOL since last year. I accused him (as you do) of chucking them as he put them all in one box and its missing. Also the nativity set which readers of Omlet know has gone missing several times in recent years has yes disappeared again. So I told his nibs I am buying a new garland for my mantelpiece tomorrow and so there Also with a big kitten in the house I have to kitty proof Christmas tree. So far its Just got lights on whilst Bazza Wazza the ginger kitty gets used to it. Its been sprayed with Bitter Apple and I have some fir cones to put round the bottom. Its also tied to toy box. Stressed - yup too right. If anyone has a nativity group turn up at their door - they belong to me. Oh and havent started cards yet.

chickencam
Hope today goes well, we spent the weekend battling the crowds and some dreadful service. I am now topping up with a few things online from the comfort of my sofa, bit chilly, but at least it's peaceful. Also a dress for myself just happened to fall into my basket for Christmas party wear. Debenhams have 50% of all designer dresses today only. Olly
For the second year running, I've managed to do almost all my shopping online. I had a day out at Bluewater on Friday but hardly needed to buy anything - it was lovely. Obviously, that hasn't stopped me from over-committing myself on home-made gifts, sewing, knitting, and somehow I completely forgot that I would need to write and post some Christmas cards ... and of course I'm out every night this week and have visitors at the weekend. Is Christmas Day always on the 25th or is it early this year?
Alis girls
Have to say spent a pleasant morning - got everything I planned except 2 things. OH and I went off separately and met after an hour for coffee and half a gingerbread woman called Georgina which OH purchased Not sure why he didnt get one called Alison All assistants were lovely and we all cooed over a bawling babe in John Lewis who was demanding his elevenes whilst a poor mum was trying to shop. Eventually he thought " sod it" and ate his harness. So glad I am past that stage even if they are horrible at times at 18 and 12. Thanks for encouragment - now have a few on line bits to get and then stocking fillers. Sorry to moan - I was so stressed after YS being ill last week - thankfully hes on the mend. Alis girls
Thanks Chickencam - feels good too.Update on tree and Bazza wazza - naughty cat - hes just walked past the tree (articial one) and nibbled the end of a branch It is half decorated -bottom bit with not breakables and top with more decorative stuff. Looks a bit naff at present. Oh and Mary and Joseph have turned up OH had put the box with them and my garland and wreath in another box buried away from boxes marked Chrimbo decs I had treated myself to a new wreath and garland - very tasteful too from John Lewis. I think I panicked after being so stressed with my sons illness and work. Thanks for your support. Oh and I've written the dreaded Christmas cards.
