mollyripkim
Thinking forward to next spring I have been looking at brooders and found a couple, one without an integral lamp and one by Maino that has the lamp included. Wondered if anyone has used one and how you got on, good or bad?
Purplemaniacs
We made ours and bought an electric hen to go in it. It worked well I even took it into school so that the children could see the chicks. Sorry no help with your question Chrissie

miller30
Hi you can use just a big rabbit cage with a brinsea eco brooder in it which is what I do sometimes depending on time of year it will go in my conservatory or lounge if its in the lounge with my heating on indoors my chicks are off heat at 3 weeks if I do a big batch then they are down the garden in my brooder shed with a heatlamp but these use a lot of electric leanne
mollyripkim
Thanks Leanne, that's another option, it's nice to plan whilst the weather is so rubbish. I am actually hoping you will let me buy some hatching eggs from you next year, I have space full time for three more girls. Would love a white pekin.
