Leicester_H
I admit I'm biased (graduated from and worked at University of Leicester) but I know some of you have been following the Richard 3rd Story. The archaeologist who led the team which discovered Richard III beneath a city centre car park has been nominated for Archaeologist of the Year. see http://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/Richard-III-Leader-bones-dig-nominated/story-20372861-detail/story.html and if you want to vote http://www.archaeology.co.uk/awards/archaeology-awards-2014/archaeologist-of-the-year-2014-nominees.htm Happy New Year everybody, H

soapdragon
Hi H Its The Search for Richard 111 - The King's Grave by Phillipa Langley and Michael Jones pub. John Murray, ISBN 978848548909 rrp £20 but I got it from The Book People for a great deal less than that so may be worth checking out their website. Its the story of the search for and excavation of the grave indispersed (sp?) with chapters on the history. There is also a very interesting 'argument' at the end of the book between the two authors regarding the 'did he, didn't he' murder the princes in the tower. One author clearly thinks he did and gives the other a run for her money (so no clues there then as to which thought what!!) PS E book ISBN 9781848548923.
