Chickabee
My seed feeder and fat ball feeders are being raided by jackdaws. It happened in the summer, I moved the feeders and they've done it again. They take all the food in one go! I do like jackdaws, but they can get food elsewhere. I want to feed the little birds. We get lots of sparrows, all different tits, finches, mistle thrush, robins and wrens. I love to watch them but I don't like feeding the jackdaws. What to do? Lavenders_Blue
Could you swap your feeders for the type that have the cage round them (I think they are designed to be squirrel proof)? It should allow the little birds to access the food but not the big greedy birds.
mollyripkim
I use the ones with cages too, I got a seed and a nut one for £19.99 from coopers of Stratford online. They are quite good as the starlings can just about get in to feed.
