Chickabee
Now I've been going on about these products for ages. The "dine a chook"and "wet a chook" are in my opinion the most excellent feeders and drinkers. Unfortunately you can only get them from Aus at the moment, but they have just told me they will soon have a distributor in NI. The Dina a chook is a gravity feeder that can be kept inside or out, it's specially designed so the chooks can't scratch the feed out and no bird or rats can get in. The wet a chook has a special cup with a tongue so the water doesn't overflow. There is a constant source of fresh water and it's hard for the girls to poo in it! There was recently a mistake with customs and I got charged £30. I emailed the company who assured me they would deal with it straight away. They are sending me another drinker (which I was about to order) for free and no p & p.
chickencam
They sound good, I have naughty girls who pull the food out of the Grub so we have hanging feeder with dividers which makes it harder for them, but they still do it from time to time. jimnpaula
Chickabee, what ratio of birds per feeder do you think would work?
Chickabee
I've got 4 using a 3kg feeder. Just ordered a 4 kg feeder for 5. All the info is on the website. Just put dine a chook in your browser. They are also extremely helpful, so if you wanted to wait til they are on sale in NI I'm sure they will tell you. I got my first one through ebay
