robs5230
well , we have been keeping bantam hens for about 15 months now and our 2 hens have just started their second laying season. we had a rocky start with a couple of light sussex bantams that died within a couple of weeks but we have settled down with a pekin cross and an araucana, both doing well and between them, giving us about 6 eggs per week. they live in an eglu classic with the 2 section run and i'd like to get 2 more point of lay birds. will it be ok to introduce 2 more ? and will they have enough room ? they are on the back garden and get moved every couple of days and do get let out. thanks
keyhole kate
I would say yes however if you added a Eglu run extension this would give you plenty of space without worrying if they had to be confined for longer periods for any reason plus peace of mind
Chickabee
Sounds ok to me go for it . Have you got an action plan for introducing them ?
Chickabee
I do agree that a run extension would be a good idea
