clucker1
Oh dear! I have been feeling very guilty for not going to the feed shop to replenish corn supplies; it is supposed to be cold tonight so no nice tasty corn for the girls. BUT I watched Les Miserables the film last night armed with a pot of home made popcorn. Anyway I was so transfixed by Les Mis (I found it very powerful) I hardly touched my popcorn. So I think the girls will approve of popcorn and caramel sauce! and WOW Les Mis did have some fantastic acting and singing in it, really loved it! auntielizzie
Not sure if popcorn with caramel sauce would go down well with the chickens but I have to agree with you about les mis; I went to see the film with my mum when it came out and was totally absorbed. Loved all the songs. Poor mum cried all the way through! I'd love to go and see the musical too now.
Beantree
Two things chickens have a low tolerance of are salt and sugar as they never appear in a natural diet. So low is their tolerance I consider them as poisons, so I wouldn't recommend feeding them your popcorn with caramel sauce Clucker1.
clucker1
Thanks Beantree but tbh, it only had a drizzle on it anyway and worse than that............ I finished most of it this morning, so now the chickens have got lashings of poached egg in tomato soup sauce (my son didn't eat at lunch due to a cold) topped with popcorn crumbs and natural yogurt, a lovely combination on yes and forgot the apple core too!!! Leftovers!!
louise womble
Les MIs was largely filmed at my work and we very much enjoyed having them there! I did a tour round the Call The Midwife Set to the accompaniment of Les Mis ! (it was all recorded live). I went to the cinema to see it twice but am yet to watch the dvd - I need a nice quiet day off on my so I am NOT disturbed!!!
