patsylabrador
About a month ago I threw my fairly new vacuum in the garage out of sheer frustration at how wishy-washy it was and ordered myself a multivax. I had one years ago when the kids were little, messy, vommy creatures and thought it was great then. I can't remember why I tried other cleaners but I'm so glad I've got one of these again. I hate vacuums that just glide over the carpet promising a cyclone but delivering a pfft! This one gets right into the pile and lifts it and is quite an exercise to use. It can also be used as a carpet and upholstery cleaner. So far I've washed several carpets, including the hall twice and one settee which I did this morning. I'm absolutely horrified by how many buckets of dirty, black water I have emptied. I had no idea how grubby we are and I can't even blame it on a dog or a cat. Multivax 6131 It is cumbersome although it is quite light and it is quite noisy. But- it does actual cleaning. The dustbags are enormous and last forever. yvonne
Thanks for the recommendation, always good to hear of something that DOES work rather than all the reviews of things that don't !
patsylabrador
Washed the bedroom carpets today. OMG! Actually I dredged up a considerable amount of sand which is odd. I really thought my house was clean. Just goes to show. My girl says I should get out more!
