Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

I have my new cube ready and was going to put all the chickens together to bed tonight wondered if anyone had got any advice, 2 have been in therir own house, ive heard of people using talcum powder do they all smell the same, was going to leave the cube open over night so theres no falling out in the morning when its light.

I did this recently, but my girls have always been in runs next to each other and have free ranged together. I've been told to put mite powder on them all to make them smell the same, guess it's the same thing. There was a bit of pecking and a little bullying to start with, but they're over that now. Other than one of my araucanas, who's like a moody mare

 

Btw getting a cube was the best thing I've done

Yea there in the same run as well they were seperated by mesh until end of march , it be their first night in the cube they not sure on the ladder think we be putting them in.

I had to convert my ladder, my little ones couldn't get the hang of it I covered it with some mesh and a fake grass mat. All fastened with cable ties, then put a log at the bottom for them to climb on
