Cat tails
Brought my ladies to their holiday destination yesterday! First had to catch them... Which was interesting... My initial plan was to lock them up in their coop, but they thought otherwise. One escaped from the run and then a second followed. The game was on! I tried to corner them under a bush, which worked for two ladies. The third flapped over the little fence that keeps them from my veggie patch (which has been growing quite extensively!) She ended up in a tomato plant and was almost swimming in between the branches and leaves... I wrangled her out of the veggie patch between the brussels sprouts and the carrots. Finally I had them squeezed in a cat travel box, which was a snug fit. They played dead the whole drive to the petting zoo. They found their spot in a nice run in the shade. With all sorts of other fowl, goats and kids running around. Hope they are fine, when I pick them up again!

Cat tails
Thanks! I'm slightly fearing putting up the tent tomorrow... They predict it will be 33 degrees...
Lavenders_Blue
There's never a dull moment with chickens! Hope you have a great holiday. Last time I put a tent up, there was thunder, lightening and torrential rain! 33 degrees sounds blissful in comparison
Cat tails
That sounds horrible! We're just going to take it very easy tomorrow. It's no use trying to do things fast in that temperature.
