Is Gloria a cockerel?

My 3 pekin chicks are now 8 weeks old. Hilda the gold partridge is my own broody-bred chick. I bought the lavender and buff chicks two weeks ago, when, I have to say, they both appeared to be hens as far as the seller and I were concerned. However I have a growing feeling that Gloria the buff pekin, might be Gordon instead... She seems to exhibit slight cockerel behaviour, is the definite leader of the three and to me her comb seems more developed than the other two. :? Am hoping she might just be a fast-developing feisty girl? Would be grateful for your opinions?

Phew! very glad to hear that! :) Thanks for your help.

I just googled lemon cuckoo and buff pekins. They look v similar to me. :? Is it that the buff is a bit darker? I'm asking because my 3-year-old 'buff' pekin, Golda, is a lovely deep gold colour. I assumed Gloria was the same. Maybe Golda's a lemon cuckoo and not buff at all...

Yes, I think Golda's colour might have faded a bit this summer. She does look darker in earlier pics.

Btw, Golda is the mother of Hilda, the gold partridge chick next to Gloria in the first post. Mr Darcy is the gold partridge father.

Won't be long until yours are Golda's size, Mullethunter! Are we sounding like mad chicken mothers?!!
