Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

OH and I are going to Ireland for a week tomorrow (leaving the girls to be looked in in twice a day by my parents ). Anyone have any tips for anything to see /do / avoid in the area around Rosscarbery (about an hour SW of Cork)?

How lovely! Just up the road is Kinsale which when I went many moons ago for St Patricks weekend with friends was beautiful We stayed in Waterford and Cork, so a bit far east for you. We did visit the Jamison distillery and went up a mountain which was freezing so thank goodness for a tot of whiskey to warm us up We also went to Blarney Castle where most but not me kissed the stone. It is just beautiful scenery down there so enjoy. I am sure people will be more than willing to suggest places to visit while you are there too.

It will be lovely but I'm not looking forward to leaving the girls for a week I bet Bernie will lay her first egg too.
