patsylabrador
I had a great day in London today. I did a crime and punishment history walk with my ex-met pals. It was very, very interesting. Found out where burnt 'witches' bones have been found ( poor ladies) amongst other things. Took loads of photos to instagram but I like these two especially. The guide is ex-police too and really knows her stuff. [/url
soapdragon
That sounds really interesting; how did you hear about it? Can anyone book?
patsylabrador
This is the guide. I really liked her, she was so enthusiastic and full of knowledge. I saw little bits of London I didn't know existed. I don't think she advertises, it's more word of mouth. I think she does lots of different stuff. http://londonatyourfeet.vpweb.co.uk/About-Your-Guide.html

patsylabrador
Thought I'd add this I saw on my way home. Right on a busy junction near the Barbican is this lovely garden. It is on the site of Christchurch Greyfriars Church which was built in 1225. No less than four medieval Queens were buried there. It was burnt down in the Great Fire of London and rebuilt by Wren. Then it was bombed during WWII. I guess they gave up and now it is this lovely garden. I love that you turn a corner and find something like this. I also saw a very boring square next to the Old Bailey which was once the Pressing Yard. Gruesome.
Chortle Chook
I used to work right near there and yes, it is lovely. Our office was over a plague pit and even our CIO was scared of the ghosts there . Your tour sounds so interesting!
