Ain't Nobody Here
Windy and very wet last night after work so wasn't looking forward to my run but surprisingly, I quite enjoyed it! Picked a slightly flatter route to save my chest overdoing it but managed 2.2m.
sparkysmum
Struggling to fit in exercise with work but just had a fab 20 lengths pool + a while in the steam room and now a couple of G&T's, well it is Friday night Delighted to have finished week 1 Ax
Ain't Nobody Here
The weather's not exactly conducive either, is it . Went out yesterday afternoon in the wind and rain but felt much better than I have for ages so managed 4.1 miles. Quite slow but happy to have done a bit longer for a change. Got a 3 mile cross country tomorrow so feeling a bit more confident about that now.
patsylabrador
Bad, bad couple of days - dodgy tummy and all that but back on my bike today for an hour. I really missed it and feel much better now.
Ain't Nobody Here
Sorry to hear that . Good you're back on the bike though . Went to my first step class in 2 weeks this morning but it didn't feel right not running today so I went for a little jog round the golf course in the snow . sparkysmum
At last 3 mile walk jog in icy rain! Great to be out tho'. Yorkies not impressed Good luck with your cross country ANH! Hope conditions aren't too vile for you!
Ain't Nobody Here
Sleet and strong winds on the journey down to the Borders but thankfully the weather cleared up and it wasn't even raining when the race started . I have never seen so much mud . YS had his shoe sucked off as did numerous others. There were 4 rivers to wade through (ankle deep) which was great for washing the mud off. Until we got to the other side where there was more mud . I even managed a sprint at the end to prevent someone I'd just overtaken, overtaking me . Ain't Nobody Here
I must really have the Janathon bug . Went for a run in a mini-blizzard in the dark . Less than a mile but it still counts!
freddie
I do take my dog out twice a day for approx 3km brisk walking( she does about 10) across farmland and moor, in all weathers, but that's it. And I have cut down food which is hard, as I do like my food....
patsylabrador
Big fail with admin - I haven't been posting. I'm really, really bad at admin But I have been exercising. An hour each day of walking and biking. Feeling good about myself - apart from the admin!
Ain't Nobody Here
I've run a marathon so far in Jan (OH does one in just over 3 hours, it's taken me 2 weeks ). Mostly very short distances but today I tried a longer cross country route which was fab - 6.4 miles from the front door, barely a person seen and these views ... Ain't Nobody Here
Well, that's the Janathon over. I surprised myself by managing a run every day in January and clocking up almost 80 miles, despite suffering from a cough or a cold most of the month and the weather throwing rain/wind and snow at me. Janathon was a great motivator .
sparkysmum
Wooooow, awesome, so impressed, what an achievement! Afraid my Janathon was more of a whimper and mostly consisted of walking the yorkies and a few runs. Next year? or Juneathon when the weather is better and lighter? Might be up for that
patsylabrador
Congrats ANH. I've been very bad at blogging but have really upped my exercise. I work for 90 minutes several times a week now and even on my days off I squeeze in30 minutes. I've started all sorts of resistance training and have found muscles I didn't know I had. I love feeling all my new muscles. I've got a long way to go but I love Janothon for getting this year going.
