Hi All,

 

Has anyone setup a working webcam with live steam to an internet site? I am looking for the best outdoor cam to buy.

 

A bit geeky I know but thought I would ask.

 

Keen to watch over my girls whilst at work.

I have an old axis 2120 which is an IP camera (connects directly to the network) rather than a webcam (connects to a PC). I've set mine up in readiness for Cube delivery next week (I hope), it has it's own built in web server so I connect directly to it (see the link in the sig below for a demo).

 

Camstreams.com do strreaming from webcams but not from IP cameras (at the moment, due soon). I would think the problem with webcams is having it somewhere close enough to connect it to the PC.

 

Would be interested in other options myself, especially outdoor cams as mine is in the conservatory window and suffers from reflection on sunny mornings.

My hubby wants to rig up a camera - one in the cube & one to spy on them when we are on holiday. I miss them loads, wehn I am apart from them - they are my children!!!

 

He's been looking at some availbale from CPC.

i am close to chickencam (another member) and hence the name they put a cheap cctv camra in there!!! it was only black and white but you could see them all going to sleep... awwwwwwwww! you end up feeling a bit like a peeping tom tho
