Grandmashazzie Posted May 6, 2015 Share Posted May 6, 2015 Hi all,I thought last year of adding ducks to my hens and about to order WIR to add to mine so time is now right.I have read up and am thinking call ducks for cuteness.I don't think I mind whether I have eggs or not.I was concerned if I had 1 drake he may torture his ladies,but I also read 3 girls would be anxious without male!?!What would be best 3 girls or 3 boys. If you have chickens in with ducks, won't the male ducks start to harrass the lady chickens? I know ducks aren't too fussy with what they try to mate. miller30 Posted May 14, 2015 Share Posted May 14, 2015 All my birds run together and in 10 years never had a drake try and tread a chicken have had it with a turkey but thats a different story lol but it can happen during the breeding season the most i get is my leghorn girl likes to go broody every couple of weeks then she may take her frustrations out on my Drake but he's having none of it they have a s"Ooops, word censored!" i leave them to it and it soon blows over leanne Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
