robskyd
Hi, We've had a couple of eggs that have had white(ish) yolks. Is this ok? The egg's from Doris who seems really healthy in every way? Has anyone else encountered thi before? Thanks in advance....
Martin B
Never heard of it. Do you have any pictures, I'd be interested to see them.
chickenlover
Dont know if this will help but i can only try,,,here goes, if she is a young bird and these are her first eggs, it is totally normal, produced before her laying mechanism is fully geared up, if she is a mature hen then this could be a 'wind' egg that occurs when a bit of reproductive tissue breaks away , stimulating the egg-producing glands to treat it like a yolk and wrap it in albumen, membranes and shell as it travels through the egg tube. If not then maybe she just ate too much white corn and its affected the colour of her yolk!! probally more likely
