Henergy Posted August 1, 2015 Share Posted August 1, 2015 I am going to convert one of my raised beds into a chicken salad bar - I've seen pictures on pinterest where grasses etc are grown and covered with chicken wire taut over them, so that the girls can only eat the green tips & not destroy the roots. Cat tails Posted August 2, 2015 Share Posted August 2, 2015 You could also grow some herbs or maybe stick in some things like broccoli or brussel sprouts. Those keep on growing even if their is hardly a leave on them. I had a few sitting right next to the wire and they were industrially trimmed on one side...
