She laid a few thin shelled eggs to begin with but we've now had 2 days of perfect eggs! We got her as POL September 2009 so she has to be at least 6.5 years old. She really does deserve a good retirement - she's been one of our best ever layers and she's certainly our longest lived hen to date. They're smaller than they have been previously but that's fine with me - just don't want her to have any problems since each day feels like a bonus given her age!
