PinkToothbrush
We rehomed three ex-batts around six weeks ago. Two are now thriving and nice and fluffy, but the third seems to be going downhill. She's had a red, sore bottom since we got her, but lately she's lifting her feet up really high and pecking at herself. As of this morning, the few feathers on her belly are wet. I can't see any mites and the other two don't seem to be bullying her. She's eating and laying as normal. As you can probably tell I'm not experienced at this - thank you in advance for any advice. mullethunter
Can you pick her up and have a feel of her abdomen? If it feels swollen and squashy she may have peritonitis. This makes them walk funny and is quite common is ex bats I think.
Luvachicken
One of mine had wet feathers the other day and I really did think Oh no, now what, but when I looked more closely she had been dust bathing in some damp soil and this is what had made her wet and she was quite wet considering. How is your one looking today ? Do you have any tonic you could give them ?
