Willow
My husbands sister lives abroad and her 13 year old daughter is now in boarding school in th uk and comes to us some weekends. At a family party this afternoon and I was saying I didn't know what I'd do when 17 yr old son left home. Niece pipes up happily that I'll still have her and my heart melted that she so obviously feels at home with us.
gavclojak
That is the sweetest thing. Family is so important and just an odd throwaway comment can make ones day:) Family party too, your obviously doing something right x

bluekarin
How lovely! My niece, 11, told her mum (my sister) that she was so pleased we are going away camping with them later this year. Made my heart well up Its because my 3 almost adult teens (well, one is when we go away) are not coming with us, so its just me the OH and the dog in a 7 man tent!
