mullethunter
One of the plants we inherited when we bought this house was a jostaberry bush. Apparently it's a cross between a Gooseberry and a Blackcurrant. The fruits look like dark red / black gooseberries. Does anyone know anything I can do with them? All I can find on the internet is jam.
Valkyrie
Sorry - haven't a clue. I've heard of them but not known anyone with a plant. You could probably make a sauce to pour over ice cream and freeze the rest. Or make a summer pudding?
mullethunter
Hmm. Frozen them for the time being.
Valkyrie
Still have blackcurrants from last year in the freezer! It's a good way to deal with them until you find something to do with them!
mullethunter
Yes - I have blackcurrants in there with them now. And half a pig!
