Hello

Does anyone know what the current delivery times for an Eglu Cube is?

Reading a few things it seems like that it could be a couple of weeks? Are they built to order or something?

I naively assumed that if I ordered one it'd be delivered in a week or something.

Cheers,

Andy

I can't answer your question but I've always felt that delivery of any products from Omlet is too slow and leisurely, especially in these times of same-day deliveries.

My first two chickens were given to me as a birthday present in a cardboard box, accompanied by enough food for one day, by a well meaning but clearly mentally deficient friend of mine. I then had a mad dash to try to get everything needed to provide a good home for them, and I found the slow delivery times from Omlet maddening. Things haven't improved since then...

Okay, thanks. I had read that a few times.

I just gave them a call to double-check. Apparently delivery within the UK should take around 3 days at the minute if sent by courier. If you want a van delivery with someone to do the assembly for you, then it can take a few days longer.

3 days doesn't seem too bad. I was a bit nervous about ordering anything now, I was going to wait until we've moved house and then order ASAP. I'd like to get it set-up before autumn really sets in.

Having said that, I have now been told that the Eglu cubes are available now, but the runs won't be available until mid-September! I can only imagine why it takes 2 months.

I can only assume that Omlet don't keep stock of many things on a typical basis.

I waited 5 weeks for my cube and it was due for delivery in the Friday before my hens were coming on the Sunday.

I had an absolute nightmare, Friday morning half of the order came and the other half went about 100 miles away to a totally different sorting centre. I am sorry to say customer service was awful until I emailed and

Made a complaint but thank goodness Royal Mail really pulled it out of the bag once they knew I was getting rescue hens!

Yes, I looked on Flytes of fancy, I just don't like them so much. I thought the neighbours might be more opposed to something slightly more obvious like those ones... that being said, the only thing at the back of the garden right now is a big ugly wooden hut which is essentially abandoned and desperately needs TLC anyway.
