AbFab Posted August 6, 2016 Share Posted August 6, 2016 I have a new flock of 6 hens and an eglu cube attached to a walk in run. They arrived yesterday and are lovely, but are not putting themselves to roost in the cube at night. I manage to shut them into the cube run, but then they go right under the cube when I try to catch them to put them in. I am worried that they are not going to learn to do this. I put a perch across in front of the Cube door and the girls went up in that and then hopped across into the house. In fact that's what they still do. Mine have an upturned washing up bowl as an extra step on the ground at the bottom, which helps If they don't go in - wait until it's dark then go and pick them up and put them in the cube - they usually get the hang of it from there on Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
