Michelle1610
Hi all, Has anyone made their own bio-diesel from recycled vegetable oil (RVO). I have been watching Dick Strawbridge andhave seen the basic equipment needed but do not know the recipe to cook my own fuel. Am trying to get hold of 'From fryer to fuel tank' from the library but no luck as yet. Does anyone have any useful links to sites that may offer me some guidance. Many thanks David, Michelle, Libby & Thomas & girls Sage, Onion & Edna
Cinnamon
Hi, We has a system in our works van which means we can pour neat veggie oil into the tank & it mixes with the Diesel. Its clean, cheap, very easy & there is hardly any reduction in performance (although the fumes smell a bit chip-like) We even used to collect old oil from local eateries & filter it to recycle into fuel. Following a change in legislation veggie oil as a fuel is now tax free (depending how much you use) Theres a website here - http://www.dieselveg.com/

Cinnamon
Thanks Sarah for the info - much appreciated! David I know you are not next door, but if you are ever in the area then pop over & have a look at the set up we have on the van. Brian has all the technical know-how, & can explain it all to you
