Cinnamon
I have spent the day de-woodchipping the pen,Liming it,watering it,digging it,raking it & re-woodchipping it Just found out that the bag of woodchip I put in a hout ago was in fact a massive ants nest Will they do the hens any harm? There a MILLIONS of them - the teeny, brown fast ones,so I can't possible round them up, & they are now EVERYWHERE!
AJuff
My hens would have a field day. Our guinealu was infested underneath the lift out tray and I put the girls on the case. They made short work of it.

Cinnamon
Good-oh I thought that might be the case, but was worried that the ants might get into their feathers & irritate them They have sure irritated me each time I go in the pen The hens have been very quiet........... arowland17
ours love a good ants nest too, they have them crawling up their legs and after a while stand on one foot and eat them off their legs too - and they especially like the brown ones too!
