ajm200
One of our Pekins is acting up this am. She is my buddy who follows me everywhere. She seems stressed. She is usually quiet but is constantly crowing like she’s laid an egg. She is staying away from the others and keeps flying at the glass patio door, kitchen foor and even the kitchen window 4ft up. I let her i to the house to see what ahe’d So and she just ran round the room crowing. The nest box is empty so she could lay if she wanted Any ideas? Could she be going broody for the first time? The Dogmother
That sounds unusual; I would pop her in a dark box with air holes, dose with NutriDrops and leave her to calm down. Keep her in that for half a day (with food and water) and see how she goes.
ajm200
A red kite swooped in over the garden a while later. We are wondering if she’d spotted it earlier. She is calmer now
