patij
Hi, Today one of my 2 Beautiful Barnevelders went over the rainbow bridge 😢 her name was Violet, my dilemma now is that i need help to re home her sister Mar, as you all know hens are flock animals and it would not be good for her to be alone, up until the cold weather set in they were both happily laying. Mary is 4, she is a big beautiful girl, sociable & has stunning feathers. If any one can help Mary have a new home & friends, please get in touch. I am in Stockport Cheshire. Cat tails
Sorry to hear you lost your hen. But from memory pretty sure Omlet Forum rules don’t allow rehoming of hens (or other animals) on this website. Couldn’t you get her two new friends? Here is the topic with some tips:
Patricia W
Several people have successfully cared for a lone hen so is that a solution for you? She will want company, but that could be you? If this isn’t possible, you might like to try FB. I know a page called The Friendly chicken Group which might help. If she was a he, there are a number of Cockerel rehoming FB sites. HPG Cockerel Rehome is the name of one I used to find my lonely Cockerel some new ladies.
