The Pearsons
Just to let everyone know I adopted Chicken Nuggets hens and they are now installed with my hussies. We had a bit of "handbags at dawn" this morning but so far so good. Chips (aka Attila) is most upset as none of them will take her on, they just submit so she went to have a sulk under the cube next to top chook Toast (and chicks). I finish work at lunch time today so it will be a quick wizz around the supermarket and home to my hens! Helen in Hume

Olly
that's great news, I'm adopting some chickens myself in a couple of weeks, but since they are bringing their own Eglu with them, I won't have to mix them together straight away. I'm planning to put the two Eglus side-by-side in the garden so they can shout at each other for a bit.
The Pearsons
I'm afraid I just put the new girls in with the others and let them fight it out. So far they seem to have sorted themselves out well and I had 4 eggs this morning!!!! Chips and Toast are off lay for the winter and Paxo is laying well. Princess isn't laying yet so I think Nugget's three each laid an egg. I know Masala did as she was in the nestbox when I went to top up the feed and water. I'll try to take some photos tomorrow so you can have a look at the lovely ladies. Helen in Hume
