Valerie Posted April 2, 2020 Share Posted April 2, 2020 Hello everyone. I have had 3 hens since August. Sussex, leghorn, Wyandotte. Got a first egg for Xmas. Since then they lay erratically and only one at a time. Never two ! I feed them a special organic mix for hens. They do not fight and seem happy. I wish they lay more ! Cat tails Posted May 1, 2020 Share Posted May 1, 2020 Young hens take some time to get into swing of things. Also the short days will also make them lay less. Not all hens lay every day.
