Sheila7
I recently upgraded my Go Up to an Eglu mark 1, but my hens keep sleeping in the laying area. I put cardboard in to block it off at night and remove it in the morning, but I can't keep on doing this. Any other ideas to stop them from sleeping in the laying area? Cat tails
I do the same with a plastic Ikea crate. There is not much else you can do about this.
Minnie881
We just have to go out every night and check and shift if necessary! Moving them once seems to do the trick for the night.

Try putting a large plastic football in the laying area at night? The other thing I read somewhere: if the roosting bars are not higher than the laying area, the hens will sleep in the laying area.
