feemcg Posted October 10, 2007 Share Posted October 10, 2007 My 2 Gingernut boys, at 5 weeks old have taken to having a peck at my hands when I'm rounding them up at night into the eglu, or when I go to lift them. I've never had chicks do this before so quickly lift them up (and give them a stern talking to!), and hold them firmly to let them know who's boss. The Dogmother Posted October 11, 2007 Share Posted October 11, 2007 Chick did that for a while Fee - I pressed my hand on his back as if he was being mounted a few times and that showed him my dominance.
