I've just noticed a program called "The Natural History of Chickens" on BBC4 next Thursday 23rd Dec.

I've seen it before and it's kinda sweet. There's a very sad bit, a bit about battery hens which is even sadder but some chicken stories to make you smile too and some gorgeous hens. It's an American programme so very schmaltzy but entertaining, none the less.

No need to be embarrased, I very rarely know what day of the week it is let alone this close to Christmas! I will go and set the video recorder now (if I dont I will forget brain like layers mash, me )

Brain like layers mash - I don't think so Mel. Anyone who can set a video recorder to record something in a fews day time is awesome to me!

Good for you See we all have our talents. I have never gutted pheasant or rabbit as our local butcher does it for us - I can gut a fish though, so I guess I am halfway there
