Scooby
Hi everyone New at this, was hoping someone could answer my question. I recently acquired 2 pekin bantams and 1 japanese pekin and an eglu cube. Was wondering if it's possible to introduce a couple of pepperpots or gingernuts to the same cube or if I'd have to get a separate eglu for them. Also, if that's the case does that mean they will not get on free ranging together? Thanks Scooby Daphne, Edna Florence
Shirl
I think you could get a couple of big girls. I would wait until the pekins are fully growwn though so they have a chance of standing their ground and then get the larger breed as a younger bird which is about the same size as the Pekins at the time of introduction. Obviously introductions would need to be done slowly but I think that should be the case regardless. Shirl

Janty
My big girls picked on my young pekin so badly in the cube that I had to order her an eglu all of her own ( and of course some friends to keep her company). I bought them all from the same farm on the same day and still experienced problems. I agree that you should wait until your pekins are fully grown. Then they would at least be able to defend themselves.
