Rabbieboy
We bought some Quails eggs on ebay and along with some of our own Quails eggs we put 23 eggs into the incubator. Only 1 has hatched and even it was a day late. I have bought a new, large, brooder and an electric hen to keep all the young birds in and now all we have is a tiny little chick that only has a rolled up sock for company. It is eating and drinking ok and it snuggles into the sock under the electric hen to sleep. At least they grow quick and it can go in with the others in a few weeks. Rabbieboy
It was an ebay egg, it looks like my little male quail is past his best. Tho only pic I have is a bit fuzzy as they are hard to hold and all you see is it's head.

Rabbieboy
We used to keep them in a hutch with a run outside in our chicken run but we have them in a cage in the shed for winter. I did buy a set of breeder cages, they are still in the box but they will have to wait 'til I get back from work next week before I build them.
